Gaming

Here is a list of video games I've played/been playing in the past.

Geometry Dash

Geometry Dash is a 2D platformer, rhythm video game developed by Swedish game developer Robert Topala and first released in 2013.

I vividly remember it was my friend who played the game back in early 2018 and inspired me to try it. I started on the lite version, beating every main level, and bought the full game on my old Ipad 6.

The sensation of completing(beating) a level encouraged me to continue playing. There is always a new challenge for me to complete, and I loved to push my limits. Although constantly failing during the process gave me anger issues, no devices were harmed at all.

The game eventually made its way to the top in popularity, and I'm glad to see the creativity of creators worldwide. What seemed to be a simple rhythm game about a cube jumping over spikes has now become a fully featured game engine (no joke).

I'm considered a decently skilled player among the others in the community, althought the definition of being good is subjective. My most recent hardest achievement is beating Acropolis (insane demon).

Minecraft

I was introduced to MC at an early age, just like many others I believe. Back then, I played modded/pirated versions my uncle installed on the computer. He'd occasionally get new mods for me to play, and I enjoyed spending time with them. Version 1.7.9 and 1.12.2 were the popular candidates for mods.

I have to mention that I really loved the background music produced by C318, especially when playing singleplayer creative mode (where most of my time was spent on).

Roblox

This was another childhood classic, and in fact most of the time I spent playing video games was on this game. It was the end of 2017, the same friend who introduced GD to me was in favour of another game, Roblox. To me at the time, Roblox was an all-in-one game that covered everything I needed for entertainment. I had immersed myself into several notable games: Natural Survival, Survive the Killers in Area 51, Tower of Hell, Boxing Simulator, and Bear Alpha. I would play it every week, whenever there was a friend party going on. I'd continue to play Roblox during the pandemic until I stopped in 2025. The later games I played were Aniphobia, Blade Ball, The Whistle, Monsters Chaos, and a bunch of horror-themed story games.

Garry's Mod

I was interested in a new "low-end" video game during COVID-19, and so I found the game Garry's Mod on Chinese Tiktok. It was the reason I installed Steam. The content of this game is extremely ambiguous. Anything I imagine could be made (or already existed) in GMOD. I like messing around with vehicle models and user-made maps. However, I do have to say that multiplayer is a pain in ass to play since a bunch of assets had to be downloaded before hand.

The nextbot trend popped off back in 2022, and I came back to GMOD just to get chased by intelligent (very uncanny) pictures trying to eliminate me.

Eurotruck Simulator 2

Basically, I was really into driving heavy vehicles. ETS2 was the perfect game for it since I couldn't drive in real life. I put many hours on this beginner-friendly game and travelled to many places in Europe. It cured my attention span since I had to focus on every second of the mission. I couldn't make any comments on the graphics, though, as I got a potato PC. The Nvidia Geforce service helped me to get a vision of the default graphics, which was already very detailed and realistic.

Hearts of Iron IV

I bought this strategy game as a result of my interests over history and geography. Some of my friends also played this game. It was expensive to buy and the performance was low-tier. Let's just say my new computer couldn't handle the amazing graphics with its Intel integrated graphics card. I had fun playing with my friends together in multiplayer mode. It also cured my attention span.

PUPG Mobile

It was the only game I played during COVID-19, along with Geometry Dash. I grinded this game almost every day as I was addicted to it. If I wasn't doing homework or watching the TV, I would be playing this game. I quit the game the following year partially because it was too competitive and pay-to-win.

Microsoft Flight Simulator X

I took interest in aviation video games, and I found FSX to be a perfect budget game for my low-end PC. It was essentially a testing ground to mess with community plane models and flying them once of twice. Overall, it's a really inpressive game from 2006.
